Glasgow Rocks have signed Marc Kwedi for the 2020-21 season.
The 6’7″ French forward/center has played the last two years in France NM1 and now becomes the Rocks’ sixth signing for the forthcoming season.
“When looking for a player to replace Ali and Max in the center position, it was obviously very difficult to find a player that fits both of these guy’s styles and skills,” said player-coach Gareth Murray.
“In saying that, Marc has the strength, low post presence and the ability to protect the basket and defend multiple positions. As you can tell from the type of players I have signed, Marc is a young up-and-coming player that is looking for a bigger role on a team.”
Marc added, “I’d like to thank Glasgow for the opportunity and I am here to improve and progress with the coach and my teammates.”
Owner Duncan Smillie showed excitement behind the new signing, “Our squad is coming together and we can’t wait to get the guys on the floor under player coach Gareth Murray’s leadership.
“It’s starting to feel like the 2020-21 season is within touching distance and I know our fans and sponsors will get behind us in whatever way they can in these tough times.”
