Cheshire Phoenix have announced the signing of French small-forward Sehill Mouliom.
Mouliom was born in Paris, France, and is coming into his first year as a professional after his time at Malone University Pioneer’s came to an end.
At the age of 16, the Frenchman began his career playing for Boulogne-Levallois U21 in the France – Pro A U21 league. Mouliom spent two seasons with the French side, accumulating 16 appearances during his time at the club.
Following his time in France, he joined Vincennes University ready for the 2016-17 season. It was an important time in the player’s career as he featured a total of 68 times during his freshman and sophomore years (starting five).
After finishing at Vincennes, the Forward attended Malone University. The 23-year-old had an impressive senior-year at Malone – one which saw him feature 30 times (starting 30) throughout the season, averaging 13 points, 1.3 assists and 4.9 rebounds a game.
“It feels great to sign to Cheshire Phoenix and I’m looking forward to a great season in a new environment for my rookie season,” said Mouliom.
“My cousin Karim played here [for Phoenix] even though he had a season ending injury and he told me how great the program was and that I would be a great fit for this team and league.”
Coach Ben Thomas added, “It’s great having Sehill here next season. He’s a very athletic, versatile forward who will be able to play at both positions in our front court.
“Sehill’s athleticism will definitely make him a fan favourite, he plays above the rim a lot. The most important thing for us though is that he is always the hardest working player on his team. I know he’s ready for the season to get started and to have a great rookie season.”
